Drew Hunt of The Chicago Reader writes about Michael’s stand-up, “In a lot of ways, he represents the ideal antidote to the sort of unbridled cynicism that pervades much of contemporary stand-up.” The Guardian writes, “In stand up, there is the writing, and then there is the performing. This guy nails both… clean, clever, dark and, most importantly, funny.”As a clean comedian, he has racked up multiple late-night credits with appearances on The Tonight Show, The Late Show, The Late Late Show, and Conan.Additionally, he was a Top 5 Finalist on the last season of Last Comic Standing after eliminating Taylor Tomlinson in a head-to-head stand-up competition, where one judge claimed, “My first impression of Michael was a great likability. This is a guy that could star in a sitcom.”Michael currently resides in California and is a dad. Every Monday night he records a podcast after his kid goes to sleep.
