JP Leonard

JP Leonard is a stand-up comedian based in Lafayette, Louisiana.

He’s been featured on SkankFest New Orleans, Robert Kelly’s “You Know What Dude” podcast, and has performed at top comedy clubs across the country, including The Stand and New York Comedy Club in NYC; The Riot, Secret Group, Improv, and The Punch Line in Houston; and The Creek & The Cave, The Velv, and The Vulcan in Austin.

JP has performed with Don’t Tell Comedy in New York, Louisiana, Texas, and Florida, and has appeared at major comedy festivals in Austin, Atlanta, New Orleans, Knoxville, Houston, and Birmingham.

He’s opened for national headliners such as Mark Normand, Dave Attell, and Jim Breuer, and toured with comics like Rich Vos, Bobcat Goldthwait, and Dan St. Germain. As a producer and host, he’s worked with top names including Tom Segura, Nate Bargatze, Doug Stanhope, Shane Gillis, Ms. Pat, Greg Fitzsimmons, and Judah Friedlander, among many others.

Beyond stand-up, JP is the founder of Lafayette Comedy (lafayettecomedy.com) and produces regular shows at Club 337 inside the Doubletree Hotel in Lafayette. He also co-hosts the podcast We’re Dying Down Here with comedian Tyler Arceneaux—interviewing touring comics and exploring the highs and lows of performing in smaller markets. JP is also a contributor to The Laugh Button as a comedy writer.
